"Mariner's Compass"

Wonderful, Early, Mariners Compass Quilt ...signed: "Pieced by Ann Frisbie" and dated "1846"~ ~It has beautifully quilted half shell design stitching of 10-12spi~ ~The Banner and Bow Border is delightful with a small red binding~ ~there are several postage stamp size blocks that make up the corners for the exquisitely pointed stars ~colors are a nice green and red in good condition for it's age~ ~Information gathered has this quilt coming from PA~ ~even though this quilt was well loved and cared for, a few stains, some missing stitches and some worn fabric attest to it's age ~ a quality antique quilt that would grace anyone's home~!!!
